Platform Security Engineer

Chase International are looking for platform engineers to join our security engineering team. In this role, you will be focused on the design, build, operation, and automation of the security capabilities of our platform and surrounding ecosystem that runs Chase, a bank which we've built from scratch.

We are looking for naturally curious, self starters who are customer-focused team players, looking to expand their skills whilst working on this exciting product.

In this role, you can expect to:

  • Provide security solutions across a number of domains in the core platform, including our Kubernetes platform and ecosystem, CI/CD tooling.
  • Develop and take ownership of security enablement services used in our SDLC whether that's services written in Golang/Java/Python or OSS tools.
  • Engage and collaborate with engineers across the business to understand use-cases, and to define best-practices for use of the security of the platform.
  • Participate in a vibrant community of engineers from various backgrounds who are working to solve several complex business cases.
  • Bring in the new and latest technologies and techniques while driving their adoption where appropriate.

This role may suit you if:
  • You want to develop your security specialism to complement your software engineering background, whilst staying hands on.
  • You consider yourself to a software engineer, and are comfortable writing services, rather than just scripts.
  • You are comfortable dealing with cloud based infrastructure; can speak about VPCs, security groups, access controls etc.
  • You are able to see how seeming disconnected processes, components, and events work together to create the complete product.
  • You have a passion for combining multiple services, tools, and components; and demonstrate 'systems thinking'.
